Flexibility & fast-tracking
The elective portfolio provides the backbone to the flexibility of the London Business School MBA. There is a huge amount of flexibility in the elective portfolio, and not just in the subjects you can study. This gives you massive scope to tailor the timing of your electives to fit with the other activities and commitments you will have in year two.
There is no minimum termly requirement for electives in year two, but there is a normal maximum of six electives per term excluding block weeks. This means you are at liberty to tailor the amount of time it takes you to complete the taught part of the MBA Programme, taking the full 21 months or finishing in as little as 15 months. Even if you choose to take the full 21 months, the absence of a minimum termly requirement means you can take a term off from electives to concentrate on other things, perhaps even undertake a second internship.
